Dialogue[]

Intro[]

Eleventh Doctor: Good news, we're all fixed up! Not quite "as good as new" be [sic] won't hold that against you, will we old girl?

Third Doctor: And even better news, I have a plan to take down the Toclafane. To take on an army we don't need an army, but we do need to be able to think like one. We need a great military mind.

Madame Vastra: There was a blur as the Doctors, as if all immediately knew what he was suggesting, and knew what they had to do in order to act on it, moved towards the centre console. Switches were flipped, lights blinked and pulsed, and I held on tightly as, once again, we dematerialized. Everything shifted around me and I felt, as I did with every leap through time and space, that a small part of me had been left behind.

Jack Harkness: And who would this great military mind be, Doctor?

Third Doctor: His name is Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart, BRIGADIER Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart, and I have an idea about how we can get him here. We need some bits and pieces, build a machine which can smash down the walls between his timeline and this one.

Rory Williams: Couldn't we just pick him up in the TARDIS? If you've spent so much time with him, it should be easy to track him down?

Third Doctor: Sadly it's not going to be anywhere near as easy as that, Rory. His timeline and mine are heavily intertwined. With the time vortex destabilised around us, forcefully landing a TARDIS with so many of my regenerations on board anywhere near the Brigadier, is simply suicide.

Jenny Flint: So what do we need to build in order to get him to us?

First Doctor: A piece of very specific and technical space time apparatus, young lady, must be built and built quickly.

Eleventh Doctor: The first thing we need is the casing. We need a very specific metal, one with very interesting properties. Even in my travels I haven't seen a lot of it, but the Silent bishops use it in the construction of their confessional chambers. We need to find a Silent ship which, if our calculations are correct, should be just outside these doors.
