I've been looking to dig into the game files for character stats with greater granularity than what the wiki currently has (per-level vs. per-10-levels) but haven't had much luck finding anything useful...any tips?

tip: use a calculator and a spreadsheet...
afaict, the stats arent something that is easy to find in the game APK, unless you are willing to dis-assemble the bytecodes back into whatever language was used to code it... iirc, the details that you see on the level-listings per character are just noted by-hand from players in-game... thus, there might even be typos (altho i doubt it, since quite a few eyes have looked thru most of the data)...
many players (ok, maybe just me) will barely need the details for per-10-levels... they/we/i just need to figure out how-high (level-10-wise) a character needs to be upgraded to be useful in whatever-scenario is of-interest at-the-moment...
hth, h.
btw - "hi" (os12th) and glad yall picked up the latest-pixel outfit... i still have my notes (for dwlegacy) and have had to learn a slightly different-way to get the pictures for stwog - but it is all-good...
eta: if you (darkgob) notice an error in the numbers - it might easily be because the stats got adjusted from TRG and nobody has gotten around to looking at them recently... thus, if YOUR eyes see something different in-game - change it on the wiki... thatll trigger someone-else to double-check your change and --poof-- everything will be better here for everyone...
there really is no magic-bullet that is done to make this wiki so great - it is the consistently dedicated fans who pore over the details... gl, h.
Well that's disappointing, albeit not surprising. I had tried interpolating stats for individual levels based on the known decilevel stats because at first I thought stats were "grouped" like experience tracks, but I later realized that wasn't the case; the resulting model also didn't work out particularly well anyway. Are there any tools for Android to see what a program has loaded into memory? Has anyone actually datamined (using the proper meaning) the stats we do have to discern a pattern?
That said, I suppose you're right that most people don't need stat granularity beyond decilevels, I'm just a sometimes unecessarily thorough person. :) My motivations are actually beyond the information integrity of the wiki, although if I did somehow get this information on my own I would certainly update here as appropriate.
ive tried the datamining-thing once or twice before (and again for the past hour or so) using only one character-set and was not able to discern a pattern that matched the data... i suspect there might be details that are not-necessarily captured in the wiki (like the lvl-40/41 transition) completely-correctly... there are other folks who used-to frequent here awhile ago who deciphered the original experience-tracks you mention...
regarding android-memory - just fire up an emulator, set up a debugger, and dig in... ive thrashed-around in there a bit, it was not pretty, and not worth-it (to me, at least)... to me, trying to back-trace patterns like this are kinda-fun for an hour or two - but ultimately not fulfilling... itd be easier to just ask TRG (or bribe/cajole/... them) about what the answer is...
otoh - nothing (particularly software) is perfect... metaphor: seeing how the sausage is made will not make it taste better... :-)
Oh believe me, I know -- I "make sausage" for a living. It gets pretty disgusting sometimes.
